Fawn Park improvements completed… for now!

There was a lot of activity at Fawn Park this spring as landscaping changes were made to modernize and improve the site. The fencing on three sides was removed and new fencing was installed along the alley on two sides of the park. The path was partially diverted to make room for a larger playground footprint while still allowing people to walk through and enjoy the space. A new picnic table and two benches (location dependent on playground footprint) will be installed at a later date and the garbage bin was moved. A few new trees were planted, and a shrub bed was added to the park’s street entrance. See the landscape drawings above for more specific details as well as the gallery to see the work progress thus far.
Fawn Park is our third and final playground rebuild site, so these changes are being made in anticipation of the new playground install. With a completed path, we’ll know what area we have to work with for a potential playground footprint, and the Playground Committee can get to work designing.
Stay tuned for more updates as our playground plans take shape!
