City of Calgary Public Engagement Invitation – Macleod Trail and Heritage Drive Functional Planning Study

The City of Calgary Macleod Trail and Heritage Drive Functional Planning Study is underway to explore long- and short-term improvements for the intersection of Macleod Trail and Heritage Drive S.W.

The study will consider current traffic and safety challenges, as well as develop future design options to identify:

  •      Safer traffic flow with less congestion.
  •      Faster, more reliable travel by car, transit, bike, wheels and on foot.
  •      Better road and pathway connections to support community growth.

We invite you to attend an open house event on Sept. 19, 2026. In addition, there will be an online engagement event on Sept. 23, 2026.

You are also welcome to provide feedback online between Sept. 14 and Oct. 2.
